Some great questions/Answers

1. What is the most common mistake made while creating the asphalt? What was the cost of that mistake?

Since asphalt is made out of natural materials, the materials such as sand and stone will vary over time. If attention is not paid to these natural variations in the materials and adjustments made, then the final product may not meet the specifications requirements. This can result in financial penalties against the producers.

2. Is there a way to prevent any mistakes? Like someone overlooking your work?

The best way to prevent mistakes from happening and on occasion they will occur, is by paying attention to details. And everyone involved in the paving process should be paying attention to details. Someone may see something that does not look right to them, but they don’t know what is causing that problem. As long as the report of something not appearing to be correct is passed along to the appropriate people, then there is a good chance that the problem can be minimized and that is to everyone’s best interest.
